- Why isn't there a single rate?
- Processing risk is not the same for every business. Rates start at 2.2% + $0.29 for lower-risk commerce and rise with chargeback exposure, regulatory constraints and the complexity of the setup. The calculator shows the indicative pricing for a business type.
- How is my rate decided?
- Your pricing is confirmed in writing during onboarding, based on your business model, expected volume, history and risk profile. The calculator gives the range to expect before you apply.
- Are higher-risk or restricted businesses accepted?
- Some are, after review. Categories shown as "subject to review" or "subject to approval" need additional checks and compatible payment accounts. Their pricing starts at the rate shown and can vary.
- Is there a monthly or setup fee?
- No. Technio charges per successful transaction only. No sale, no fee.
- Do I get volume pricing?
- Merchants processing above $500,000 a month through Technio move to a custom rate with a dedicated contact.
- My business type isn't listed. What now?
- Tell us about it through the contact page and we'll confirm the setup and pricing that apply. Every unlisted search also helps us extend the calculator.
